November – wow—- really???!!!
All the fall colors are quite inspirational I dare say ) A friend of mine hung a quilt she bought with beautiful autumn leaves as the theme.
A new student came today and got to cut out a red plaid flannel pair of lounge pants – getting ready for the holidays! I’m almost as excited as she is to see them come together!
Another is figuring out her yardage to recover some cushions for a friend. Can’t wait to see what fabric she chooses )
Another student has just finished a beautiful pirate maiden costume -a la Snow White and the Huntsmen (blue underdress/brown overdress in the photo Gallery) she got done in time for Halloween (as a dress rehearsal for pirate night on a Disney cruise). She did some wonderful work and I think she learned a LOT through that process. Always fun discovering things as I get to help folks through patterns that are new to me. She is such a good student.
The most unusual work of the season= helping a student alter a shirt for her wonderful big German Shepherd service dog for his Halloween costume! That was a first for both of us!
And – can’t wait to see the rag quilt begun a few weeks ago — time for a student get together celebration/photo shoot!!!
Cheers!
