So — all the sewers seem to be sewing up a storm for Christmas ) I’m very excited for all of them. It’s so grand when people are motivated to work with their creativity (that they often didn’t know they had!) Just gotta tap into it.
While everyone is taking a little pause from lessons until the new year, I am going to work on some of my personal projects. Finally got started on MY Christmas Rag quilt – inspired by my dear friend and studio hostess – Ruth. Spent a couple of days at my music/sewing friend Nancy’s house, and started putting it together as she was sewing on one of her daughters Christmas gifts. (Can’t mention what they are here ’cause they’re surprises and you never know who might be reading!!
I also am about to make a muslin (a practice) of a pair of pants. When I get the pattern fit to my “oddening shape”, I have fabric to make 2 pair. X fingers that it goes well and “easily”
Hope to also get a few more mending projects done from my ever present “box o projects”
Am also going to take this time to work on some new specialty classes for late winter/early spring and the relaunch of our monthly sewing circle. Got inspired at a trip to a fabric store in CA with my sisters and bff!
Happy Christmas time to all!
Janet
